Foster The People West Hollywood Concert reviews
3rd time's a charm? Not this time
I love Foster The People, my 2nd favorite band behind Metallica. This past Saturday, I saw them for the 3rd time in the past year. They played the exact same set list as last December with only 1 song change. They seemed to lack energy, perhaps due to being tired or just eager to get home to their families since it was the last show of their tour. The Deftones, a band I had never seen before, performed just before AIC and had amazing energy. The crowd was really into it, and although their music wasn't my favorite, I actually enjoyed their set more than AIC's in some ways.
The sound for the whole show was way off, with the music being too loud compared to the vocals. I don't know if it was because of where we were sitting, but my ears hurt more than they did last year when I saw them at the same venue.
In conclusion, I feel like I've seen Foster The People too many times without enough variety in their performances to fully enjoy myself.
